A method of making a composite product includes the steps of mixing a hydraulic binder and water to form a paste and then introducing a foam into the paste to form a foamed product. The foam is generated from a mixture of a polyvinyl alcohol solution and a second hydrophilic polymer such as gelatin. The foamed product is formed into a desired shape and the hydraulic binder is allowed to set to form the composite product.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un produit composite, consistant à mélanger un liant hydraulique et de l'eau pour former une pâte, puis à introduire une mousse dans ladite pâte de manière à former un produit mousse. Cette mousse s'obtient à partir d'un mélange constitué d'une solution d'alcool polyvinylique et d'un second polymère hydrophile, tel que la gélatine. On donne ensuite au produit mousse la forme voulue et on laisse durcir le liant hydraulique pour former le produit composite.
