Apparatus for reducing signal noise in a fetal ECG signal obtained by using a unipolar ECG lead configuration (1), (3) thereby detecting a predominant T wave vector and avoiding changes in ECG waveform shape due to fetal rotation through the birth canal. The ECG signal is transmitted by means of a first signalling link (5) to the signal noise reducing components which include a conventional analogue filter (7), a digital high pass filter (9) for attenuating low frequencies and with a predetermined cut-off frequency, the cut-off frequency being essentially between 0.2 and 1.7 Hz, and a further digital filter (11). The filtered ECG signal is arranged as output signal from the electrical arrangement by means of a second signalling link (13).

Cette invention concerne un dispositif destiné à atténuer le bruit de signal dans un signal ECG foetal par l'emploi d'une configuration ECG unipolaire (1), ce qui permet (3) de détecter un vecteur d'onde T prédominante et des modifications intervenues dans la forme d'onde de l'ECG par suite du retournement du foetus dans la filière pelvigénitale. Le signal ECG est transmis via une première liaison de signalisation (5) aux composants réducteurs de bruit de signal, à savoir : filtre analogique classique (7), filtre numérique passe haut (9) destiné à atténuer les basses fréquences et assorti d'une fréquence de coupure située pour l'essentiel entre 0,2 et 1,7 Hz, et un second filtre numérique (11). Le signal ECG filtré est configuré comme signal de sortie du dispositif électrique au moyen d'une seconde liaison de signalisation (13).
