A potted timer and circuit board assembly used in a regenerative desiccant air dryer includes a support member having first and second surfaces. A conductive pattern is disposed on one of the first and the second surfaces of the support member. A quantity and arrangement of electronic components is disposed on one of the first and the second surfaces of the support member for providing a timed electronic signal to a solenoid valve. A non- conductive material encases the electronic components for insulating the electronic components from environmental elements. The support member has at least one exposed member for engagement with such air dryer for creating an electrical current in the potted timer and circuit board assembly. An alignment means is disposed on the support member for engagement with such air dryer for aligning and holding the potted timer and circuit board assembly.
