La présente invention concerne l'utilisation en cosmétique ou en application topique d'une dispersion aqueuse contenant au moins dans un milieu aqueux cosmétiquement acceptable, un copolymère réticulé d'acrylamide/acide 2-acrylamido 2-méthylpropane sulfonique neutralisé, sous réserve que l'organopolysiloxane ne soit pas un diméthylpolysiloxane linéaire de viscosité inférieure à -1 m2/s. L'utilisation de cette dispersion aqueuse permet d'obtenir des cheveux brillants, soyeux, légers, dont les propriétés de démêlage et de douceur sont sensiblement améliorées. Elle permet également de conférer à la peau un toucher doux sans effet collant.
