The aim of the invention is to create an economical metallic shell component with integrated reinforcing profiles which presents not only the required stiffness but also the required crack-propagation and residual-strength characteristics. To this end the invention provides for the reinforcing profiles (2) to have a thickened area (4) in the region of their base which area has a thickness (f); for the thickened area (4) to have a reduced joint thickness (a) in the region of the joint area (3); and for the ratio of base thickness (f) to joint thickness (a) to be greater/equal to 2. The invention is suitable for use in a metallic shell component consisting of a skin plate and reinforcing profiles.

L'invention vise à créer une pièce métallique en forme de coque, économique, comportant des profilés de renforcement intégrés et présentant, outre la rigidité requise, des valeurs acceptables de résistance rémanente et de propagation de fissure. A cet effet, les profilés de renforcement (2) présentent, au niveau de leur base, une partie épaissie (4) d'épaisseur (f). De plus, cette partie épaissie (4) présente, en direction d'une zone de raccordement (3), une épaisseur de raccordement (a) réduite, le rapport entre l'épaisseur (f) et l'épaisseur de raccordement (a) étant supérieur ou égal à 2. L'invention trouve des applications sous la forme d'une pièce métallique en forme de coque, constituée d'une tôle plastifiée et de profilés de renforcement.
