A composite panel may be deep drawn into sanitary inserts (bath tubs, shower tubs, sinks, lavabos). A coating (3) of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA, acrylic glass) is arranged on a substrate made in particular of acrylonitrile- butadiene-styrene (ABS). The acrylic glass coating consists of a mixture of impact-resistant modified PMMA and standard PMMA.

Après formage profond, un panneau composite permet de réaliser une carcasse pour articles sanitaires (baignoires, bacs à douche, éviers, lavabos). Un substrat, notamment en acrylnitrile-butadiène-styrène (ABS) est revêtu (3) de polyméthylmétacrylate (PMMA, verre acrylique). Le revêtement en verre acrylique est constitué d'un mélange de PMMA modifié à résistance élevée aux chocs et de PMMA standard.
