Cosmetic compositions are described wherein .alpha.-hydroxyacids, .alpha.-ketoacids and related compounds are formed into amine salts through neutralisation with a multi-amine functionalised polymer. Particularly preferred are glycolic acid and lactic acid salts of poly(ethylenimine).
