The present invention relates to a settling device (2) for a fluid containing liquid, gas and particulate material. The device (2) comprises liquid- discharge means (15) fitted close to the water level of the fluid and supply means for supplying the fluid at the bottom of the settling chamber. In the settling chamber one or more caps (12) are disposed with their longitudinal axis at an angle to the water level, such that fluid supplied at the bottom of the settling chamber flows obliquely up, forced along the bottom of the at least one cap. Whilst gas bubbles contained therein collect in the ridge (17) of the at least one cap. The gas collected in the ridge of the at least one cap is trapped by means of gas-discharge means (18) beneath the water level of the fluid. Preferably, use is made of a row containing a multiplicity of caps (12) which are disposed in oblique, overlapping and parallel arrangement. The caps (12) can be fitted at an angle of 60~ relative to the water level and preferably have a mutual interval of about 6 cm. The invention further relates to a purifier provided with a settling device of this kind and to a method for the anaerobic purification of waste water using a settling device or purifier according to the invention.
La présent invention concerne un décanteur (2) pour fluide contennant du liquide, du gaz et des matières particulaires. Cet appareil (2) comprend un orifice de trop-plein de rejet liquide (15), situé près du niveau d'eau du fluide, et un dispositif d'amenée de fluide au fond de la chambre de dépôt. Dans cette chambre de dépôt sont disposés une ou plusieurs garnitures transversales (12), dont l'axe longitudinal forme avec le niveau d'eau un angle tel que le fluide amené au fond de la chambre de dépôt remonte à l'oblique, est contraint de longer le fond d'au moins une garniture transversale, les bulles de gaz contenues dans la chambre de dépôt étant collectées dans la traverse (17) de la garniture transversale en question. Le gaz collecté dans la traverse de la garniture transversale est piégé par un capteur de rejet gazeux (18). On utilisera de préférence une rangée de garnitures transversales (12) montées obliques, à chevauchement et parallèles. Les garnitures transversales (12) peuvent être montées de manière à former un angle de 60· avec le niveau de l'eau et devraient de préférence être espacées par un intervalle d'environ 6 cm. L'invention concerne aussi un purificateur doté d'un décanteur de ce type, ainsi qu'une technique de clarification anaerobie des eaux résiduaires, mettant en oeuvre un décanteur ou un purificateur selon l'invention.
