An automatic vessel supplying and labeling apparatus takes out a desired vessel from racks, supplies it to a vessel supply position, and supplies a desired label, corresponding to the vessel, to a label supply position. At the vessel supply position, the vessel is rested on a pair of lower rollers of a label applying unit. At the label supply position, a label detection sensor is arranged at a position between two coaxial members of one of a pair of upper rollers of the label applying unit. The label applying unit moves the lower rollers toward the upper rollers after the sensor detects the label at the label supply position, and sandwiches the label between the vessel and the upper rollers at the label supply position so that the label is applied on the vessel. The label applying unit transfers the vessel on which the label has been applied, toward a judging unit. The judging unit checks the label on the vessel to judge whether the label is correctly applied to the vessel or not. In accordance with the result of judgement, the vessel is sorted into one of two places, one place for collecting vessels with correctly applied labels and the other for collecting vessels without correctly applied labels. Unlike conventional automatic test tubes supplying labeling apparatus the present invention applies the labels and is more reliable than the prior equipment.
