The invention relates to the combined use of metal salts of ricinoleic acid with reactive amines in the preparation of polyurethane foams (PUR foams) and of their solutions in aqueous or organic solvents in the preparation of polyurethane foams in combination with reactive amines. A first embodiment relates to the use of metal salts of ricinoleic acid or their solutions in aqueous or organic solvents for the preparation of polyurethane foams in combination with a reactive amine of the general formula (I) Image where n is 1 to 4, R1 and R2 are ( CH2-CH2-O ),,H or (CH2-CH(CH3) -0),H or ( CH2-CH ( CH2-CH3) - O) x H , x is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, with the proviso that there is at least one x > 0 in the molecule.
