Procedure for the manufacture, by melting and solidification, of an ingot of a high critical temperature superconducting oxide from the YBaCuO, BiSrCaCuO, TiBaCaCuO families. The procedure begins with an ingot (1) of an oxide that has a suitable stoichiometry. The ingot is maintained in a horizontal position by levitation on a gas film inside an oven (40). The ingot is melted, and a vertical thermal gradient is established in the said oven, initiating nucleation in the lower part of the said ingot. While the said thermal gradient is held constant, the overall temperature of the oven is reduced at a rate less than or equal to 0.1°C/hour, until the temperature of complete solidification is reached. Finally, the ingot undergoes a standard oxygenation treatment.

Procédé de fabrication par fusion-solidification d'un lingot en oxyde supraconducteur à haute température critique appartenant notamment aux familles YBaCuO, BiSrCaCuO, TlBaCaCuO, caractérisé par le fait que l'on part d'un lingot (1) en oxyde ayant la stoechiométrie adéquate, qu'on le maintient horizontalement par lévitation sur un film gazeux à l'intérieur d'un four (40), qu'on le fond, qu'on établit un gradient thermique vertical dans ledit four de manière à ce qu'une nucléation démarre à la partie inférieure dudit lingot, que, tout en maintenant ledit gradient thermique on abaisse globalement la température du four à une vitesse inférieure ou égale à 0,1°C/heure jusqu'à la température correspondant à une solidification complète, et qu'on applique enfin audit lingot un traitement classique d'oxygénation.
