A method for producing polyamides from dinitriles and diamines by reacting at least one dinitrile and at least one diamine with water at a temperature of 90-400 C, at a pressure of 0.1 - 50*10 6 Pa and with a mol ratio of water to the sum of dinitrile plus diamine of at least 1:1 in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst selected from the group consisting of aluminium oxide, zinc oxide, silicon oxide, oxides of the second to seventh subgroup of the periodic table, lanthanoid and actinide oxides, phyllosilicates and zeoliths; The invention also relates to polyamides obtained according to said method.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de polyamide par réaction d'au moins un dinitrile et d'au moins une diamine avec de l'eau, à une température de 99-400 DEG C, sous une pression de 0,1 à 50*10<6> Pa et avec un rapport molaire de l'eau à la somme dinitrile plus diamine d'au moins 1:1, en présence d'un catalyseur hétérogène choisi dans le groupe comprenant l'oxyde d'aluminium, l'oxyde d'étain, l'oxyde de silicium, les oxydes des éléments des groupes secondaires 2 à 6 de la classification périodique, les oxydes des lanthanides et des actinides, les silicates stratifiés, les zéolites. L'invention concerne également des polyamides obtenus selon ce procédé.
