A 4090 "PROCESS FOR GRANULATING POTASSIUM SALTS" Abstract A process for granulating potassium salts, which comprises: a) preparing a bentonite gel by mixing bentonite with water in a water:bentonite ratio from 5 to 15, and adding a potassium salt to said gel, at 60-80°C; b) feeding the slurry, obtained as per a), to a rotary drum granul- ator, in which the slurry is sprayed onto a bed of preformed and recycled hot granules, adjusting the moisture of the granule (leaving the granulator) in the range from 4 to 8% and the re- cycling ratio from 12 to 18; c) drying by means of flue gases (at 250-270°C) until the granule moisture ranges from 2.0 to 3.5% by weight, the granule temper- ature, at the outlet of the drying area, ranging from 60° to 85°C.
