The invention relates to an intracavity frequency-doubled diode-pumped laser. The aim of the invention is to provide a simple and inexpensive means with which interfering capacity variations of the laser radiation produced by means of the non-linear optical crystal at the beginning of the capacity adjustment can be avoided while at the same time preventing capacity-reducing elements in the resonator and thermal effects from having negative effects on the laser behavior. To this end, the laser contains a solid body as the laser-active medium which has a temperature gradient that is substantially parallel to the resonator axis. The laser radiation of a laser fundamental wave length is converted to a laser radiation of another wave length by means of a non-linear optical crystal with a lower effectiveness than required for obtaining the maximum capacity of the converted laser radiation. The inventive laser is especially useful for medical purposes, for example in the field of ophthalmology for coagulating the retina, but also in the field of dermatology.

Dans un laser à pompage par diode à doublement interne de la fréquence, il s'agit d'éviter les fluctuations perturbatrices de puissance dans le rayonnement laser produit à l'aide du cristal optique non linéaire au début du réglage de la puissance, avec une construction simple, et donc peu onéreuse, sans que des éléments réducteurs de puissance dans le résonateur et que des effets thermiques aient une influence négative sur le comportement du laser. Ledit laser contient en tant que milieu actif un corps solide à gradients de température orientés parallèlement à l'axe du résonateur. La conversion du rayonnement laser d'une longueur d'ondes fondamentales laser en un rayonnement laser d'une autre longueur d'onde s'effectue à travers un cristal optique non linéaire ayant une efficacité inférieure à celle qui est nécessaire pour obtenir une puissance maximale du rayonnement laser converti. Ledit laser est adapté en particulier à des applications médicales, telles que par ex. dans le domaine de l'ophtalmologie pour la coagulation de la rétine, mais également dans le domaine de la dermatologie.
