A neighborhood zone covering an enclosed or surrounded environment, such as a man-made building or high-rise, is defined (400) within a mobile telecommunications network by associating a plurality of base stations with respective cell areas. A same neighborhood list indicating all measurement channels being utilized within the neighborhood zone by said plurality of base stations is then further defined (400). The defined same neighborhood list is then transmitted (410) by each of the base stations within its respective coverage area. A mobile station traveling within the neighborhood zone then scans and reports measurements (420) from the indicated measurement channels to the serving mobile telecommunications network. The mobile telecommunications network then effectuates a handover (460) in accordance with the received signal measurements. An idle mobile station further utilized the measurements to effectuate a cell re-selection.
Une zone de voisinage couvrant un environnement fermé ou entouré tel qu'un bâtiment ou une tour aménagés, est définie (400) dans un réseau de télécommunications mobile par l'association de plusieurs stations de base aux différentes zones de cellule. Une même liste de voisinage indiquant tous les canaux de mesure utilisés par la pluralité de stations de base dans la zone de voisinage est ensuite définie. (400). Cette liste de voisinage est ensuite transmise (410) par chaque station de base dans sa zone de desserte respective. Une station mobile se déplaçant dans la zone de voisinage enregistre et rend compte des mesures (420) à partir des canaux de mesure indiqués vers le réseau de télécommunications mobile de départ. Le réseau de télécommunications mobile effectue ensuite une commutation (460) conformément aux mesures de signaux reçues. Une station mobile inactive utilise ensuite ces mesures pour procéder à une nouvelle sélection de cellule.
