An epicyclic gear train (12) includes a sun gear (32) rotatable about a central axis (37), a concentric outer ring gear (36), and a plurality of gears (38) mechanically intermediate the sun gear (32) and the ring gear (36), and which are in meshing engagement therewith. An epicyclic carrier assembly (40) comprises a gear support member (42) and a coupling adapter (44). The gear support member (42) is adapted to rotatably support the plurality of gears (38) on axles (41) between first and second axle ends. The gear support member (42) has at least a first connecting member (50). The coupling adapter (44) is disposed concentrically with the gear support member (42) and has a second connecting member (52). The second connecting member (52) is engaged with the first connecting member (50) to structurally join the coupling adapter (44) and the gear support member (42). The first and second connecting members (50, 52) are mounted to one another in a plane between the first and second axle ends.

La présente invention concerne un train d'engrenages épicycloïdal (12) comprenant un planétaire (32) tournant autour d'un axe central (37), une couronne extérieure concentrique (36), et une pluralité de pignons (38) venant mécaniquement entre le planétaire (32) et la couronne (36) avec laquelle ils sont en prise. L'invention concerne également un ensemble support épicycloïdal (40) comprenant un élément support de pignons (42) et un adaptateur de couplage (44). L'élément support de pignons (42) est conçu pour supporter en rotation la pluralité de pignons (38) sur des pivots (41) entre les deux extrémités de ces pivots. L'élément support de pignons (42) comporte enfin une première patte de montage (50). L'adaptateur de couplage (44), concentrique avec l'élément support de pignons (42), comporte une seconde patte de montage (52). Cette seconde patte de montage (52) se solidarise avec la première patte de montage (50) de façon à associer structurellement l'adaptateur de couplage (44) à l'élément support de pignons (42). Les deux pattes de montage (50, 52) sont montées l'une avec l'autre dans un plan passant entre les deux extrémités du pivot.
