Compositions are provided that improve overall plant vigor and yield by combining agriculturally effective amounts of at least one environmentally friendly biological control agent and at least one insect control agent and or fungicide. A composition of the present invention is particularly effective in the presence of plant parasitic nematode and fungal species. Along with a benefit of reducing insect pressure, the inventive composition enhances the root system of a plant and improves the establishment of the biological control agent within the rhizosphere, thereby enhancing the effectiveness thereof. Use of a composition of the present invention leads to an overall reduction in crop losses caused by either plant parasitic nematodes or fungi and this reduction is much greater than would have been expected from application of either component alone. Methods for utilizing compositions of the present invention are also provided. Further the compositions according to this invention display synergistic insecticidal, nematicidal, acaricidal or fungicidal activity.
L'invention porte sur des compositions qui améliorent une vigueur et un rendement de plante d'ensemble par la combinaison de quantités efficaces du point de vue de l'agriculture d'au moins un agent de lutte biologique écologique et d'au moins un agent de lutte contre les insectes et/ou un fongicide. Une composition de la présente invention est particulièrement efficace en présence d'un nématode parasite de plantes et d'espèces de champignons. Conjointement avec un avantage consistant à réduire la pression de l'insecte, la composition de l'invention améliore le système racinaire d'une plante et améliore l'établissement de l'agent de lutte biologique dans la rhizosphère, améliorant ainsi l'efficacité de celle-ci. L'utilisation d'une composition de la présente invention conduit à une réduction globale de pertes de culture provoquées soit par des nématodes parasites de plantes, soit par des champignons, et cette réduction est bien supérieure à ce qui aurait pu être attendu à partir d'une application de l'un ou l'autre composant seul. L'invention porte également sur des procédés d'utilisation de compositions de la présente invention. En outre, les compositions selon cette invention présentent une activité insecticide, nématicide, acaricide ou fongicide synergique.
