The present invention provides a cardiac valve pros-thesis comprising a frame and two or more leaflets (preferably three) attached to the frame. The leaflets are attached to the frame between posts, whit a free edge which can seal the leaflets together when the valve is closed under back pressure. The leaflets are created in a mathematically defined shape allowing good wash-out of the whole leaflet orifice, including the area close to the frame posts, thereby relieving the problem of thrombus deposition under clinical implant conditions.

L'invention concerne une prothèse valvulaire cardiaque comprenant une structure et deux valvules au moins (trois de préférence) fixées à la structure. Ces valvules sont fixées à la structure entre des montants, un des bords restant libre pour assurer l'étanchéité des valvules lorsque la valve cardiaque est fermée sous une pression de retour. Les valvules sont configurée de manière mathématique assurant un bon lavage de l'orifice de la valvule, y compris la zone à proximité des montants de la structure évitant ainsi le risque de dépôt de thrombus lors de greffe clinique.
