ABSTRACT The Lossless Switch (LLSW) consists of a first electronic switch, a second electronic switch, connected to the positive and negative supply rails respectively , a first capacitor, an inductor and a second capacitor. The control signal applied to the first switch is in precise relation to the control signal applied to the second switch, as to assure a conduction-free period for both aforesaid switches, during which the transition from one rail voltage to the other will be provided by the energy stored during the conduction time in the inductor, such completely eliminating switching losses.
