A device for collecting pet feces before they reach the ground. The device is comprised of a waste disposal bag affixed to a pair of horizontal arms joined at one end to form a "V". The vertex of the V is affixed to an inclined handle that is sufficiently long to enable a standing operator to hold the V arms close to the ground. A bag attachment fixture near each vertex of the triangle formed by the two V arms enables the mouth a common plastic bag to be held open to form a triangular disposal bag. The user grasps the handle and holds the stretched triangular bag under the rear end of a defecating animal such that its feces fall directly into the bag for subsequent disposal. In a preferred embodiment, each V arm is swingably affixed to the lower end of the handle by means of a hinge who's axis bisects the angle subtended between the plane of the V arms and the handle, thereby permitting each arm to fold flush against the handle for compact storage. The folding embodiment may also include either a telescopic handle or folding handle. A carrying hook or loop may also be provided for attaching the folded device to the handle of a pet leash.
