An apparatus and method for controlling vacuum in a mail inserting machine is disclosed. The apparatus allows for different vacuum levels to be created at different vacuum operated machine elements (40a-c) in a mail inserting machine, thus allowing for the more predictable handling of different types of sheet media.

On décrit un appareil et un procédé qui permettent de réguler le vide dans une inséreuse de courrier. L'appareil permet de créer des niveaux de vide différents au niveau de différents éléments de la machine (40a-c) commandée par dépression dans une inséreuse de courrier, ceci permettant de manipuler de manière plus prévisible des types différents de supports du type feuille.
