An integrated enclosure and antenna support tower (20) for telecommunications equipment (43a, 43b). The enclosure includes a generally rectangular tubular steel frame including vertical column members (52), roof purlins and roof rafters (71) welded together to form a frame for supporting exterior wall panelling (69) and roof decking. A cylindrical cross section metal plate tower section (38) is supported on the enclosure frame by a plurality of webs (93) interconnecting the tower section with the frame to transfer the weight of the tower to the frame column members. Conventional antennas or antenna truss type towers (40) may be mounted on the tower section connected to the enclosure. The tower section may serve as a duct for enclosure ventilation air for intake or exhaust of such air at an elevation substantially above ground level. An air intake or exhaust plenum (34) may also be mounted directly adjacent to or formed as part of the enclosure. The integrated enclosure may include a support base, a climate control enclosure building and an antenna tower support member (228) disposed on the support base directly adjacent the enclosure building.
On décrit une enceinte et un mât de support d'antenne (20) solidaires et destinés à du matériel de télécommunications (43a, 43b). L'enceinte comprend une ossature en acier tubulaire globalement rectangulaire pourvue de montants verticaux (52), de pannes et de chevrons de toit (71) qui sont soudés ensemble pour former une ossature capable de supporter les panneaux muraux extérieurs (69) et la couverture. Une partie de tour à plaques métalliques de section cylindrique (38) est supportée par l'ossature de l'enceinte par une pluralité de poutres (93) reliant entre elles la partie de tour et l'ossature, afin de transférer le poids de la tour sur les montants verticaux de l'ossature. Des antennes classiques ou des tours d'antenne du type en treillis (40) peuvent être montées sur la partie de tour reliée à l'enceinte. La partie de tour peut servir de conduit pour la ventilation de l'enceinte, afin d'effectuer l'entrée et la sortie d'air à une hauteur sensiblement supérieure au niveau du sol. Un plénum (34) d'entrée ou de sortie d'air peut également être monté juste à côté de l'enceinte ou bien faire partie intégrante de cette dernière. Cette enceinte peut comprendre une base de support, une structure d'enveloppe de climatisation et un élément de support de tour d'antenne (228), situé sur la base de support juste à côté de la structure d'enveloppe.
