Improved polyacrylamide-type gels utilizing diacrylyl tertiary amide crosslinkers are disclosed having relatively high monomer: crosslinker ratios in comparison to conventional polyacrylamide gels. The resulting gels have pore structures chemically and physically different from conventional polyacrylamide gels and, when prepared in the optimal monomer: crosslinker ratio, provide superior resolution and structural characteristics over the conventional polyacrylamide gels.

Gels du type polyacrylamide améliorés utilisant des agents de réticulation à base d'amide tertiaire diacrylylique présentant des rappports relativement élevés entre le monomère et l'agent de réticulation, par comparaison avec les gels polyacrylamide classiques. Les gels ainsi obtenus présentent des structures de pores chimiquement et physiquement différentes des gels polyacrylamide classiques et, lorsqu'ils sont élaborés sous un rapport monomère/agent de réticulation optimal, ils présentent des caractéristiques de résolution et des caractéristiques structurelles supérieures par rapport au gels polyacrylamide classiques.
