There is disclosed an ink jet printhead which comprises a plurality of nozzles (3) and one or more heater elements (10) corresponding to each nozzle. Each heater element is configured to heat a bubble forming liquid in the printhead to a temperature above its boiling point to form a gas bubble (12) therein. The generation of the bubble causes the ejection of a drop (16) of an ejectable liquid (such as ink) through the respective corresponding nozzle, to effect printing. Each heater element is formed of solid material, more than 90% of which, by atomic proportion, is constituted by at least one element, from the periodic table of elements, having an atomic number below 50.
La présente invention se rapporte à une tête d'impression par jet d'encre qui comporte une pluralité de tuyères (3) et un ou plusieurs éléments de réchauffement (10) associés à chaque tuyère. Chaque élément de réchauffement est conçu pour chauffer un liquide susceptible de former des bulles dans la tête d'impression jusqu'à une température supérieure à son point d'ébullition de sorte qu'y soit formée une bulle de gaz (12). La génération de la bulle provoque l'éjection d'une goutte (16) d'un liquide éjectable (tel qu'une encre) par la tuyère associée respective, aux fins de l'impression. Chaque élément de réchauffement est constitué d'une matière solide, dont plus de 90 %, en proportion atomique, est constitué d'au moins un élément de la table périodique des éléments, présentant un numéro atomique inférieur à 50.
