In an exemplary embodiment, a server system includes a user interface that allows a first user (such as a claim administrator or an insurance carrier) to submit the date/time that a contractor is dispatched to an insured property and that allows a second user (such as a claim administrator or the contractor) to submit the date/time that the contractor arrives at the insured property. If the date/time that the contractor arrives at the insured property is not submitted within a specified period of time from the date/time that the contractor is dispatched to the insured property, the server system initiates the transmission of one or more automated reminder messages to the contractor. As such, the contractor's arrival at the insured property is expedited to thereby mitigate damage to the insured property.
