A rotary mechanism for cutting and/or sealing a web has a pair of counter- rotating rotors (2a, 2b) mounted on parallel axes and having radially projecting arms (4) between which the web is momentarily gripped for cutting and/or sealing. Sealing is performed by heated pressure outer faces (20) on the rotor arms. Cutting is performed by cutter and anvil bars (42, 44) on the opposed arms (4) engaging the web. Bearer faces (26a, 26b, 32) on the arms beyond the pressure faces set a gap between the pressure faces and a rectangular-section tongue (28) and groove (30) in mating contact faces one side of the pressure faces locate the pressure faces laterally. The cutting means are adjusted by a wedge bar (60) bearing on the inner face of the cutter bar or anvil.
On décrit un mécanisme rotatif destiné à couper et/ou sceller une bande. Le mécanisme comprend une paire de rotors contrarotatifs (2a, 2b) montée sur des axes parallèles et présentant des bras qui se projettent radialement (4) et entre lesquels la bande est momentanément accrochée pour la coupe et/ou le scellage. Le scellage est réalisée par des faces de pression externes chauffées (20) situées sur les bras du rotor. La coupe est réalisée par des barres de coupe et d'enclume (42, 44) situées sur les bras opposés (4) en contact avec la bande. Des faces d'appui (26a, 26b, 32) disposées sur les bras au-delà des faces de pression forment un espace entre les faces de pression et une languette rectangulaire (28), et des rainures (30) creusées dans des faces de contact correspondantes sur un côté des faces de pression positionnent ces dernières latéralement. Les mécanismes de coupe sont réglés par une barre de coin (60) appuyée contre la face interne de la barre de coupe ou d'enclume.
