The present invention is a self ventila- ting toilet using a water bladder tank adapted to store water under pressure and a bowl cham- ber adapted to receive water from the tank through a flush valve and adapted to be flu- shed through a flusing aperture provided at the bottom of the bowl chamber. A discharge passage connects the flushing aperture of the bowl chamber to a sewage collecting line. The toilet has a walled housing with a removable cover which is disposed behind the bowl cham- ber. The water tank and a ventilating chamber are enclosed in the walled housing, with the ventilating chamber being mounted to one of the housing walls. Thus, both the tank and the ventilating chamber are accessible and readily replaceable by removing the cover to the walled housing. The ventilating chamber has an elevated portion projecting above the maximum normal flushing water level in the bowl chamber. At least one upwardly directed ventilating inlet passage, located inside the toilet, pneumatically links the bowl chamber to the elevated portion of the ventilating chamber. An electrical air suction device is disposed inside of the ventilating inlet passage to the sewage collecting line.
