Method for increasing the ability of an antigen, either by itself or in combination with an adjuvant, to obtain higher levels of immune responses and/or for modifying the immune responses. The method involves targeting antigens to macrophages via their scavenger receptors, either by modifying antigens by coupling one or more amino groups of the antigen with acyl and/or carboxyl groups with or without further adsorption on an adjuvant or by the co-adsorption of other scavenger receptor ligands on an adjuvant along with an antigen.

Méthode pour accroître la capacité d'un antigène, soit par lui-même soit par suite d'une combinaison avec un adjuvant, de provoquer des réactions immunitaires plus marquées et/ou de modifier les réactions immunitaires. La méthode consiste à cibler des antigènes sur des macrophages par l'intermédiaire des récepteurs de capture, soit par modification des antigènes par couplage d'un ou de plusieurs groupes amino à l'antigène avec des groupes acyle et/ou carboxyle avec ou sans adsorption ultérieure sur un adjuvant ou par co-adsorption d'autres ligands des récepteurs de capture sur un adjuvant en même temps qu'un antigène.
