The present invention relates to a wall block for use in a segmental retaining wall system(10). The wall block (12) comprises an interior face (26) for forming an interior surface of a segmental retaining wall, an exterior face (24) for forming an exterior surface of the segmental retaining wall, first and second sides (32) that extend from the exterior face to the interior face, and a top surface (28) and a bottom surface (30). Further provided in the wall block is a channel (16) defined by a front wall (36), a rear wall (38), and an arcuate bottom surface (40). The channel extends across one of the faces and surfaces.
