The conveyor line (1) of a conveyor has a branching point (6) with a switch (7). This switch has a pivotable switching member (8) which in one position lies in this conveyor line (1) and in the other position connects this first conveyor line (1) with a second conveyor line (10). Preceding the branching point (6) is a retaining member (11) that can be inserted into the path of movement of the transport elements (2) conveyed along the conveyor line (1). This retaining member (11) can be used to hold back the transport elements (2) approaching the branching point in order to create room for changing over the switching member (8). The transport elements are independent of one another, which makes it possible, selectively and as required, either to move the oncoming transport elements (2) along the first conveyor line (1) or to divert them into the second conveyor line (10).

L'invention concerne un dispositif de transport comportant, sur le tronçon de transport (1), un embranchement (6) avec un aiguillage (7). Cet aiguillage présente un élément d'aiguillage (8) pivotant qui, dans une position, est situé dans le tronçon de transport (1) et dans une autre position, relie ce premier tronçon de transport (1) à un deuxième tronçon de transport (10). Monté en aval de l'embranchement (6), un organe de retenue (11) peut être placé dans la trajectoire de déplacement des organes de transport (2) transportés le long du premier tronçon de transport (1). Cet organe de retenue (11) permet d'arrêter les organes de transport (2) arrivant à l'embranchement (6), afin de laisser suffisamment de place pour la commutation de l'élément d'aiguillage (8). Les organes de transport (2) sont indépendants les uns des autres, ce qui permet, au choix et selon les besoins, soit de déplacer les organes de transport (2) arrivant, le long du premier tronçon de transport (1), soit de les dévier sur le deuxième tronçon de transport (10).
