A DNA sample storage kit preferably includes a pair of sterile Nitrile gloves, a sponge-tipped sample taking stick , a storage paper, a storage envelope, and forensic seal. In use, the sample stick is used like a toothbrush to wipe the inside of a cheek several times. This process removes epithelial cells, which contain DNA. The sample stick is then rubbed onto the paper where the cells are transferred and can be stored safely for decades. The storage paper is then placed in a tamper resistant storage envelope. Finally, a separate medical seal, identifying the subject is placed on the envelope.
