This invention relates to improvements made in the construction of the rotor of an asynchronous dynamoelectric machine. In particular, this invention is directed to a method of brazing rotor bars to end rings of the rotor of a squirrel cage motor. The invention describes a method of brazing a pair of end rings to the ends of amortisseur bars in such a manner that the amortisseur bars are located in pockets provided in the end rings to captivate the bars prior to, and during a brazing operation.
