An anchoring assembly for securing a rail mounting device to a wall includes a housing member with a first and second aperture. An elongate member is so shaped as to fit within the housing member. The elongate member has a first and second end. There is an actuator member near the first end. The elongate member aligns with the first aperture of the housing member. The second end aligns with the second aperture. A pivot member is interposed between the first end and the second end. The pivot member is so shaped as to allow pivotal connection between the housing member and the elongate member such that when the actuator member engages the elongate member, the elongate member functions as a lever to cause both the second end of the elongate member and the housing member to engage the cavity of the wall, and thereby secure the rail mounting device to the wall.
