A call interception process for calling card calls originating from an international country (102) and terminating to high fraud domestic locations. When a call is placed, the call is screened against a database (120) which keys on international originating country access numbers. If a match against the database (120) is found, the call is routed to a first level operator (125) for billing acount verification. If billing account verification passed, the call interception process automatically overrides the calling card from any future intercepts. If verification failed, the call interception process automatically places the calling card in a "LOCKED STATUS MODE" and terminates the call. As a result, subsequent calling card call attempts will be default to the first level operator. The process further limiting a number of subsequent calling card calls attempts from the originating terminating country (102) to domestic location. If the subsequent calling card call attempts exceeded the pre-determined limiting threshold, the call is routed to a second level operator (165) for caller identity verification.

L'invention porte sur un procédé d'interception de communications de provenance internationale (102) et aboutissant dans des zones réputées à fraude élevée. Au moment de l'établissement de la communication, celle ci est filtrée au moyen d'une base de données (120) contenant les numéros d'accès internationaux des pays d'origine. Si une correspondance avec la base de données (120) est trouvée la communication est dirigée vers l'opérateur (125) de premier niveau en vue d'une vérification du compte de facturation. Si la vérification est conforme, le processus d'interception de communication protège automatiquement la carte d'appel contre toute interception ultérieure. Si la vérification échoue, le processus d'interception de communication place automatiquement la carte d'appel en "MODE BLOCAGE" et interrompt la communication. Il en résulte que les nouvelles tentatives d'utilisation de la carte seront interdites à l'opérateur de premier niveau. En outre le procédé limitera les tentatives communications ultérieures à l'aide de la carte entre le pays d'origine (102) et la zone domestique. Si les tentatives communications ultérieures à l'aide de la carte dépassent le seuil limite prédéterminé, la communication est dirigée vers un opérateur de deuxième niveau (165) en vue de la vérification de l'identité de l'appelant.
