La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique destinée à adhérer à une muqueuse notamment pour la prévention et le traitement des radiomucites, et des chimiomucites induites par la radiothérapie et la radiochimiothérapie combinée, comprenant une quantité efficace d'un composé à activité antiradicalaire en mélange avec un véhicule qui est liquide à température ambiante et se gélifie à la température de la muqueuse et qui est capable d'adhérer à la muqueuse en raison de son état gélifié.
