A method of remotely operating a door lock. The method includes transmitting a first signal from a remote device to a router via a network; transmitting the signal from the router to a mesh network gateway; translating the signal from a network protocol to a mesh network protocol to produce a second signal; transmitting the second signal from the mesh network gateway to the door lock using radio frequency signaling over the mesh network; receiving the second signal at the door lock; and performing an operation at the door lock in response to the second signal being received by the door lock.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour actionner à distance un verrou de porte. Le procédé consiste à transmettre un premier signal d'un dispositif distant à un routeur via un réseau; à transmettre le signal du routeur à une passerelle de réseau maillé; à transcoder le signal provenant d'un protocole de réseau en un protocole de réseau maillé pour produire un second signal; à transmettre le second signal de la passerelle de réseau maillé au verrou de porte en utilisant une signalisation de fréquence radio sur le réseau maillé; à recevoir le second signal au niveau du verrou de porte; et à exécuter une opération au niveau du verrou de porte en réponse au second signal reçu par le verrou de porte.
