Process for regenerating a spent hydrogenation catalyst comprising at least one catalytic metal selected from the group consisting of Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir and Pt on an inert support, the said process essentially consisting of a thermal treatment in the presence of oxygen at a temperature of between 300 and 700~C.

Procédé de régénération d'un catalyseur d'hydrogénation épuisé contenant au moins un métal catalytique choisi dans le groupe constitué par Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir et Pt sur un support inerte, ledit procédé consistant essentiellement en un traitement thermique en présence d'oxygène à une température située entre 300 et 700 ·C.
