The invention relates to a hydrometric measurement transmitter and assembly. The inventive transmitter consists of a cable comprising a conducting core (1) that is surrounded by a dielectric sheath (2), which is interrupted by a series of measuring stations (4). The aforementioned measuring stations (4) are equipped with a dielectric sheath (6) having a reduced cross-section and said sheath is surrounded by a space filled with the test material. According to the invention, a portion of the signal enters the cavity which is closed with a short-circuit conductor ring (10) and which acts as a resonant cavity in order to reflect part of the signal towards the source. The reflected signal is analysed in order to deduce the permittivity of the test material filling the cavity and, consequently, the humidity and temperature thereof. The invention is suitable for monitoring clays used for the containment of spent nuclear fuel.
Un capteur hydrométrique comprend un câble à âme conductrice (1) entouré d'une gaine diélectrique (2), qu'on interrompt à une succession de postes de mesure (4), pourvus d'une gaine diélectrique (6) à section réduite autour de laquelle s'étend un espace empli de la matière d'essai. Une portion du signal entre dans cette cavité fermée par un anneau conducteur de court-circuit (10) et qui se comporte en cavité résonnante pour réfléchir une partie du signal vers la source. Le signal réfléchi est analysé afin d'en déduire la permittivité de la matière d'essai emplissant la cavité et donc son humidité, ainsi que sa température. Une application possible est la surveillance des argiles de confinement de combustible nucléaire usagé.
