A power spectral density of a pilot symbol and a data symbol is controlled for an uplink transmission by a mobile station in a wireless network by determining a power spectral density of at least one of the data symbol and the pilot symbol based on a peak-to-average ratio (PAR) of at least one of the data symbol and the pilot symbol. A power spectral density of at least one of the data symbol and the pilot symbol is then dynamically adjusted based on a difference between the PAR of the data symbol and a PAR of the pilot symbol. Changes in the power spectral densities of the pilot symbol and the data symbol are signaled to a receiving side of the uplink transmission. If acceptable by the receiving side, the pilot symbol and the data symbol are transmitted to the receiving side of the uplink transmission.
La densité de la puissance spectrale d'un symbole pilote et d'un symbole de données est régulée en vue de la transmission sur une liaison ascendante par la station mobile d'un réseau sans fil en déterminant la densité de puissance spectrale du symbole de données et/ou du symbole pilote en fonction du rapport crête/moyenne (PAR) du symbole de données et/ou du symbole pilote. On ajuste alors dynamiquement la densité spectrale de puissance du symbole de données et/ou du symbole pilote en fonction de la différence entre le PAR du symbole de données et le PAR du symbole pilote. Les variations de la densité spectrale de puissance du symbole pilote et du symbole de données sont signalées au côté réception de la liaison de transmission ascendante. Si le côté réception les accepte, le symbole pilote et le symbole de données sont transmis au côté réception de la liaison de transmission ascendante.
