An electric actuator including a gear motor (1), a tubular body (3) containing a piston (2), and means for connecting the motor to the piston. The piston consists of a tube (2) slidable within the body, the motor (1) is housed within the piston and secured to an end flange (4) thereof, and the output shaft (8) of the motor rotates a plug (9) provided with a screw thread (11) meshed with a complementary thread (12) on the inner wall of the body (3). As the gear motor (1) is housed within the tubular piston (2), the actuator is exceptionally compact and quiet, and the problem of the buckling of threaded rods in conventional actuators is avoided since said rods have been replaced by a tubular piston (2). Furthermore, this arrangement makes the actuator easy to seal.
Vérin électrique, comprenant un motoréducteur (1), un corps tubulaire (3) contenant un piston (2), et des moyens de liaison entre le moteur et le piston, lequel est constitué par un tube (2) coulissant dans le corps; le moteur (1) est logé à l'intérieur du piston, est solidaire d'une bride terminale (4) du piston (2) et son arbre de sortie (8) est adapté pour pouvoir entraîner en rotation une noix (9) pourvue d'un filetage (11) en prise avec un taraudage complémentaire (12) de la paroi intérieure du corps (3). Le fait de loger le motoréducteur (1) à l'intérieur du piston tubulaire (2) rend le vérin particulièrement compact et silencieux, tout en supprimant les risque de flambage des tiges filetées des vérins classiques, ces tiges étant en effet remplacées par un piston tubulaire (2). En outre, cette structure permet de rendre le vérin aisément étanche.
