A low-carbon steel slab producing method includes: adding Ti to a molten steel decarbonized to have a carbon concentration of 0.05 mass% or less, and subsequently adding at least one of La and Ce to adjust a constitution, and producing a smelted molten steel; and pouring the smelted molten steel into a casting mold via a tundish; wherein at least one of La and Ce in a total amount of 0.2 to 1.2 times an increased amount of oxygen in the smelted molten steel during contained in the tundish is added to the smelted molten steel in the tundish, so as to obtain a steel slab having inclusions which contain oxides of Ti and at least one of La and Ce as chief components, and so as to make a composition of each of t he inclusions have a mass ratio of 0.1 to 0.7, in terms of (La2O3+Ce2O3)÷TiO n (n=1~2).

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour la production d'une brame coulée d'acier à faible teneur en carbone, lequel procédé comprend l'étape de préparation d'un acier fondu pour une brame coulée d'acier à faible teneur en carbone, et l'étape de versage de l'acier coulé dans un moule par l'intermédiaire d'un panier de coulée, La et/ou Ce étant en outre ajoutés à l'acier fondu dans le panier de coulée dans une quantité totale de 0,2 à 1,2 fois l'augmentation en masse d'oxygène dans l'acier fondu dans le panier de coulée pour former une brame coulée contenant des inclusions qui comprennent chacune de l'oxyde de Ti et des oxydes de La et/ou de Ce comme composants principaux, et qui ont chacune une composition ayant un rapport massique (La2O3 + Ce2O3)/TiOn de 0,1 à 0,7 (n étant 1 à 2).
