According to known methods for drying and keeping dry especially rolled strips (10), the dry area (34) of the finished rolled strip is separated from the damp area (35) of the rolling stand by a partition (12, 13; 14, 15). According to the invention, a contactless seal is created between the partition (12, 13; 14, 15) and the strip (10) by means of a compressed gas buffer which is similar to an air cushion and a split flow (31, 32). Compressed gas (33) is guided onto the strip surfaces at a right angle from above and below, from the nozzle lips (18, 19) of a number of blast nozzles (23).

Dans la technique antérieure, pour sécher et maintenir secs en particulier des feuillards laminés (10), on sépare la zone sèche (34) du feuillard laminé fini et la zone humide (35) de la cage de laminoir au moyen d'éléments de séparation (12, 13; 14, 15).
