Formation testing, resistivity and NMR measurements are used concurrently to determine a relative permeability representative of a formation surrounding the borehole. A method and apparatus is provided for accurate determination of the relative permeability for a formation by measuring saturation levels in a region of interest determined from resistivity or NMR readings versus time during formation draw down pressure testing. The method and apparatus determines and effective permeability over time for various saturation levels to determine the relative permeability for the formation at each saturation level and also enables determination of the efficacy of utilizing completion fluids in the formation to increase formation productivity. The method and apparatus enables more accurate determination of effective permeability and the irreducible saturation level. The method and apparatus also provides for determination of whether a pad is sealed properly against a borehole wall and determines if a probe is clogged.
Les tests de formation, la résistivité et les mesures de rmn permettent de déterminer simultanément la perméabilité relative caractéristique d'une formation entourant un puits. La méthode et l'appareil présentés permettent de déterminer avec précision la perméabilité relative d'une formation en mesurant les niveaux de saturation dans une zone d'intérêt, en fonction des résultats du test de résistivité ou de rmn et du temps, au cours d'un test de décompression dans la formation. La méthode et l'appareil déterminent la perméabilité effective à différents niveaux de saturation pour établir la perméabilité relative de la formation à chaque niveau de saturation tout en permettant également de déterminer l'efficacité d'un recours à des fluides de complétion dans la formation pour améliorer la productivité de la formation. La méthode et l'appareil permettent de déterminer avec plus de précision la perméabilité effective ainsi que le niveau de saturation irréductible. La méthode et l'appareil permettent également de déterminer si un tampon est en contact hermétique avec la paroi d'un trou de forage ainsi que d'établir si une sonde est bouchée.
