The present invention relates to a method of performing a transaction that affects several nodes within a system of nodes in which information belonging to a distributed database is stored. The transaction is opened with a first phase in which the transaction coordinator sends a "prepare" message (a) to the first node (n1), the first node then sends a request (b) for preparation or an "unprepared" message to the second node (n2) eitehr directly or via one or more intermediate nodes (n3), whereafter the second node sends a "prepared" message or an "unprepared" message (c) directly to the transaction coordinator (1), which concludes the first phase. In a second phase, the transaction coordinator (1) sends to the second node (n2) a message (d) regarding measures to be taken and the second node then sends the message (e) regarding measures to be taken to the first node (n1), either directly or via one or more intermediate nodes. The first node then sends a concluding message (f) to the transaction coordinator (1), which concludes the second phase.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé permettant de réaliser une transaction qui affecte plusieurs noeuds dans un système de noeuds dans lequel sont stockées des informations appartenant à une base de données réparties. La transaction s'ouvre avec une première phase dans laquelle le coordinateur de transaction envoie un message "préparer" (a) à destination du premier noeud (n1), lequel envoie une demande (b) pour une préparation ou pour un message "non préparé", à destination du second noeud (n2) soit directement soit via un ou plusieurs noeuds intermédiaires (n3), puis le second noeud envoie un message "préparé" ou un message "non préparé" (c) directement au coordinateur de transaction (1), lequel conclut la première phase. Dans une seconde phase, le coordinateur de transaction (1) envoie au second noeud un message (d) concernant des mesures à prendre et le second noeud envoie ensuite le message (e) concernant les mesures à prendre à destination du premier noeud (n1), soit directement soit via un ou plusieurs noeuds intermédiaires. Le premier noeud envoie ensuite un message de conclusion (f) au coordinateur de transaction (1), lequel conclut la seconde phase.
