ABSTRACT A roller in a heating station of an image recorder, such as a high-speed printer, has a thin surface layer made from a ladder-structure polysiloxane resin having repeating units of the general formula: Image A mixture of phenyl and methyl groups is preferred for the side groups R1. The surface layer has improved toner release properties, so that toner of a fused image does not stick. It also withstands heat and wear in an improved manner.
