A method and system for providing user interfaces in a first network including first devices interconnected via a communication medium and at least one interface device connecting said first network to at least a second network having interconnected second devices providing services, the user interfaces for controlling the devices that are currently connected to the first network and devices that are currently connected to the second network. In each of one or more first devices in the first network a process includes: (a) obtaining information from one or more of said first devices currently connected to the first network, said information including device information; and (b) generating a user interface description including: (1) at least one reference associated with the device information of each of said one or more first devices, (2) at least a redirection identification code (RIC) corresponding to that first device, and (3) at least one reference associated with the services provided by the second network. The second network includes at least a first portal and at least a destination service provider for providing services, and the method further comprises the steps of: at least a first device requesting service from the second network by sending a request including an RIC to the first portal using a reference in the user interface description, the first portal determining a destination service provider based on the received RIC, and the first portal redirecting the request to the destination service provider. The destination service provider in the second network can be internal or external to the first portal.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un système fournissant des interfaces utilisateurs dans un premier réseau comportant de premiers dispositifs interconnectés par l'intermédiaire d'un support de communication et au moins un dispositif interface reliant ledit premier réseau à au moins un second réseau comportant de seconds dispositifs fournissant des services, lesdites interfaces utilisateurs étant conçues pour commander les dispositifs qui sont connectés au premier réseau et les dispositifs qui sont connectés au second réseau. Dans un ou chacun des premiers dispositifs du premier réseau, un processus consiste à: (a) recueillir les informations d'un ou de plusieurs desdits premiers dispositifs alors connectés au premier réseau, lesdites informations incluant des informations relatives aux dispositifs; et (b) générer une description d'interface utilisateur comportant: (1) au moins une référence associée aux informations du ou de chacun desdits premiers dispositifs, (2) au moins un code d'identification de réacheminement (RIC) correspondant à ce premier dispositif, et (3) au moins une référence associée aux services assurés par le second réseau. Le second réseau comporte au moins un premier portail et au moins un fournisseur de services de destination conçu pour offrir des services, et le procédé comporte également les étapes suivantes: envoi par au moins un premier dispositif d'une demande de service du second réseau, ladite demande contenant un RIC destiné au premier portail utilisant une référence dans la description d'interface utilisateur, détermination par le premier portail d'un fournisseur de services de destination en fonction du RIC reçu, et réacheminement par le premier portail de la requête vers le fournisseur de services de destination. Le fournisseur de services de destination du second réseau peut être interne ou externe au premier portail.
