A circulating fluidized bed (CFB) system, and a method of operating, provide for improved heat recovery. One or more return ducts (16) from a particle separator (14) attached to the combustion chamber (12) have heat transfer sections (24) with heat transfer surfaces (30). Low velocity fluidizing gas is introduced into a bed (28) having distinct heat transfer (24) and particle transport (44) sections, in order to fluidize the bed, and transporting gas is separately introduced (48) to transport a desired rate of particles from the bed to the combustion chamber through a solid particle inlet (32) which is situated below the top surface of the bed of particles. Barriers are established which prevent the transporting gas from interfering with heat transfer in the heat transfer section.
La présente invention a pour objet un lit fluidisé à circulation ainsi qu'une méthode pour l'exploitation de celui-ci offrant une récupération de chaleur améliorée. Un ou plusieurs conduits de reprise (16) joignant un séparateur de particules (14) à la chambre de combustion (12) comportent des sections (24) de transfert de chaleur pourvues de surfaces de transfert de chaleur (30). Un gaz de fluidisation est introduit à faible vitesse à l'intérieur d'un lit (28) comportant des sections distinctes dédiées au transfert de chaleur et au transport des particules (44) aux fins de fluidisation du lit, et le gaz de transport est introduit séparément (48) pour assurer un taux de transport déterminé de particules entre le lit et la chambre de combustion à travers un orifice d'admission de particules solides (32) situé sous la surface supérieure du lit de particules. Des écrans empêchent le gaz de transport d'interférer avec le transfert de chaleur à l'intérieur de la section de transfert de chaleur.
