ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE An apparatus for cooking foods by subjecting the foods to warming or heating. A closed-end insulating container is provided with a removable cover at the upper portion thereof. The inside of the container defines a steaming chamber, and a boiling chamber capable of receiving therein a solution of electrolyte is provided on that side of the container which is close to the bottom of the inside thereof. The boiling chamber is provided with a pair of electrodes capable of causing the boiling of the solution of the electrolyte received in the boiling chamber.
