The invention relates to a nucleic acid molecule being represented by a nucleic acid sequence comprising at least three nucleic acid subsequences, each nucleic acid subsequence coding for one of the, and subunits of the epithelial sodium channel, and each nucleic acid subsequence being arranged in a head to tail configuration with respect to another. The invention further relates to a cell comprising the nucleic acid sequence of the invention, which is able to express the subunits and to its use in a method for screening a potential modulator compound of the subunits of the epithelial sodium channel.
