T 1519 A B S T R A C T PREPARATION OF POLYMERS OF CARBON MONOXIDE WITH OLEFINICALLY UNSATURATED COMPOUNDS Polymers of carbon monoxide with one or more monomers comprising a group of the formula Image which is linked by a hydrocarbylene bridge to a monovalent oxygen-containing group, and optionally additionally with one or more monomers of the formula Image , can be prepared using a catalyst composition based upon a Group VIII metal and a phosphorus bidentate ligand of formula (R5R6P)2R, in which formulae R1 and R2 represent hydrogen atoms and/or hydrocarbyl groups, R is a bivalent organic bridging group which contains at least two carbon atoms in the bridge linking the two phosphorus atoms to each other and R5 and R6 represent identical or different optionally polar-substituted aliphatic hydrocarbyl groups. Part of the polymers prepared are novel. MK2/T1519FF
